I have never considered myself an artist. My entire life I would look at what “they” would create and never once did I really believe that I could make something like that. One day I picked up a camera and started taking photos without thinking anything of it. I was just trying to imitate the shots I would see in movies and in photo galleries, playing make belief in my head like I was one of “them”. And before I knew it, I was lost in the fantasy.
I experiment with many different mediums, but mainly work in two : film and photography. But whatever medium I do end up using, in my mind I’m always in a sense creating films, or fragments of them.
All of my work is documentary. Even when I work in the realm of fiction, I still can’t help but draw inspiration from my life, and my experiences.
